Wants an Impersonal Personal Note

Dear Mr. Seykota

I am from India. I apologize for reaching out to a very busy man like you for a request. I hope you find a little value in my request.

My boyfriend is in stock market and he really admires you. He talks about you all the time. Is it at all possible for you to send a note(email or handwritten or anything personalized for him - i will send out shipping label for shipping to India in case it is handwritten note) as I want to gift him this for a very special occasion.

I apologize for reaching out like this but I cannot think of any better gift for him than this. I hope to hear back from you soon.

Thank you for asking for a note from me.

I do not know your boyfriend. I do not know much about him or about you for that matter. I do not know the nature of the "very special occasion." As such, I do not know how to personalize a message to him.

You might consider sharing this response with him as a proxy for your gift - and also to open a space for you to practice sharing feelings with each other - a gift perhaps far greater than an impersonal personal note from me.

Phoenix Tribe

Hi Ed:

I assume you're too busy to meet.  No big deal, can you direct me to the Phoenix Trading Tribe?  Or let me know what it takes to start one?  What are the responsibilities and expectations?  etc.

Thanks!
Thank you for asking about TTP in Phoenix.

I see a listing for Phoenix in the Tribe Directory Page, from Resources, above.

Tribes seem to come and go. My current directory process does not keep up with these comings and goings very well.

TTP can actually work and people can get what they need relatively quickly.  When they do, they may decide they have no further need to continue and the Tribe dissolves.

You might consider setting up your own Tribe, according to the instructions on the Tribe Directory page.

North Carolina Trading Tribe

Hi Ed,

I was wondering if there was a Trading Tribe or someone I can meet with in North Carolina.

I am excited about becoming part of the community!!

Best Regards,
Thank you for asking about TTP in North Carolina.

I do not see such a listing in the Tribe Directory.

You can start one yourself.

English for Orientals - Tribe-Work Follow-Up

Ed,

I clean some mistakes in the pronunciation of vowels, especially front vowels, which is my major area of problem.

When I practice to place my tongue and lip to precisely right position,  I feel the same feeling as clearing a system and clarify the right range of all parameters.

It’s fun to  making effort to systemize all aspects of my life. I’m grateful that you guide me into such path.

Thanks,
Thank you for sharing your process and for providing an example of enjoying learning new skills.

Wants a Slice

Hello!  I'm Senior Writer at [Firm] I'm writing a post sponsored by [Client], and we're looking to profile a day in the life of a futures trader.

Would Mr. Seykota be available today for a brief phone call to speak a bit about his life, how he got into futures trading, and what an average day looks like for him? He would in no way be asked to endorse the sponsor client or their trading products, just to give us a slice of his life.

Thanks so much and hope you're interested!
Thank you for reaching out to me and sharing your view that I might remind you of a pizza.

At this moment, my life looks pretty much like a guy sitting at his desk and typing a reply to a request.

I wonder how you come to claim that my allowing you to use my name on your client's site does not confer implicit endorsement.

You might like to consider what the lives of you and your client might look like if you held honesty and integrity as operating principles for your business.
